A new, UK-based, solo-run business — here's the honest version.
Honest, because there's nothing to hide behind yet
It's just me running this, based in the UK. There's no big team behind it and no long client history to point to — this is a genuinely new business. What there is: a plain idea that a free website, paid for only once it actually works, is a fairer deal than the usual upfront invoice most web designers hand you.
We're starting with plumbers rather than trying to cover every trade at once — that way the first few sites get done properly instead of rushed. Other trades come once the model's proven itself with real plumbing businesses.
Why we don't just charge upfront like everyone else
Most web design agencies ask for payment before they've proven anything. That's fair enough once you've got a track record. We don't have one yet — so rather than asking a plumber to take that leap on trust, we take the risk ourselves: build the site free, give it time to prove itself, and only get paid once it's actually bringing in enquiries.
It also keeps us honest. If a site doesn't bring in enquiries, we don't get paid — so there's no reason to hand over something that just looks pretty and move on.
What we won't claim
We won't invent "years of experience," certifications, or client numbers that don't exist yet. If it isn't true, it doesn't go on this site — same approach on the portfolio page.
